Does the SO-101 arrive assembled?

Yes. The SO-101 ships fully assembled and tested. It is not a kit, so there is no build step on your side. You plug it in and start working with it right away.

What does leader plus follower mean?

The SO-101 comes as two arms. The leader is the operator-guided controller arm you move by hand, and the follower is the task arm that mirrors it. Together they let you teleoperate and record demonstrations for imitation learning.

Is the SO-101 compatible with LeRobot?

Yes. The SO-101 is compatible with Hugging Face LeRobot in Python, covering teleoperation, data collection, imitation learning and policy training. It is based on the open SO-ARM100/SO-101 design. SO-100 is the earlier version and SO-101 is the current one; SO-ARM100 and SO-ARM101 are the same family naming.
